Nicola Förg was born in 1962 in Kempten, in the Allgäu. She grew up in her birthplace and Immenstadt. After graduation she started to study Geography and German studies. She was interested in writing already at an early age. She even worked for a school newspaper. Later she wrote some interesting travelogues for magazines and shortly thereafter she started writing books about traveling.
Nicola Förg loves animals more than anything. She is even involved in animal welfare. Her books serve as a proof of this - quite frequently a runaway dog, a cat or a horse plays a role in her books. Today she lives with her family on a property in Prem am Lech and enjoys the time with her ponies, cats and other animals.
